Each of those is a knowledge problem, and the way we avoid them is to model from real half-hourly meter data, design to current standards, and tell you the truth about whether a battery suits your site. Sometimes the honest answer is that a flat, low-peak load does not justify one, and we will say so.
How we work
Every project starts with your data, not a sales estimate. We pull at least twelve months of half-hourly consumption and your current DUoS band schedule, then size power to the peak you need to shave and energy to how long that peak lasts. We model the value you control, red-band avoidance, capacity-charge reduction, and lifted self-consumption of any on-site solar, and we treat frequency-response and Balancing Mechanism income as upside rather than the foundation. You get the full spreadsheet so your finance team can stress-test every assumption against your own capital-appraisal hurdle. We are independent of any single battery manufacturer, so the kit we specify is chosen for your profile, not for a supplier relationship.
Safety and standards as default
We specify lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) chemistry for almost every commercial install because it is far more thermally stable than older NMC cells and lasts longer in deep daily cycling. Systems are designed to BS EN 62619 for cell safety and BS EN/IEC 62933 for system safety, with installation and fire protection following PAS 63100:2024 principles and, on larger sites, NFCC grid-scale guidance. We engage your insurer up front rather than after commissioning, because correctly specified, standards-compliant storage is something insurers are comfortable with; the risk sits in cheap, non-compliant kit, which we do not install. On the grid side we handle G99 connection agreements and use G100 export and import limitation schemes where they let a project proceed on a constrained network, and we submit the application alongside the survey so the longest item in the timeline starts on day one.
